Lunch Date

Lunched with WingKi today.

Felt really bad though, brought her to such a lousy restaurant in school. My pasta was like super salty and her baked rice with cheese tasted sour. Bad bad bad, never compromise good food for environment. Haizz. But lunch was good overall. Chit chatted for quite some time before I walked her to the bus stop.

Hope you like Eeyore =)

And so results for 121 is out, gotta collect it personally from XBG's room. Would have wanted to collect it but I am suffering from an allergy attack now and so my nose is like a leaking tap. NO or should I say, a BURST tape. I'm thinking its either the seafood pasta or the bundung pearly soy milk that I just took. Crap, need to down the pill to stop this tap.

If I could, I would love to have a new nose. A nose immune to all allergies
If I could, I would love to have a pair of new eyes with perfect eye sight
If I could, I would love to have a pair of new ankles, to run faster

If I could...

Almost There...

CBC 121 answers were out. Got quite a few mistakes. I couldn't really remember my answers but I do hope I get them all correct. Yeapz.

Forensic Science Mid term was ok. Gotta really study the notes man. Copying was a big no no but hey no one said discussion wasn't allowed hahaha... With 1600 people taking mid term and around 50 students (including me) no seats at all and had to resort to sitting on the floor, plus only 3 invigilators hahahah everyone in the audi was referring to notes for the answers larhhh! Hahhaa.. Hopefully I got all correct.

Tmr CBC 113. I hope it'll be a relatively easy quiz and I know how to do everything. HOPE is the key word. Praying hard Dr Chua be lenient on us freshie.

Recess is almost here.. just 2 more papers and I'll be free. Den I'll ask someone out for dinner or lunch to kill my boredom hahahha...

Meanwhile, My best friend is here to accompany me through this period of time. STRESS...

The First Song...

"When You Say Nothing At All"

It's amazing

How you can speak

Right to my heart

Without saying a word,

You can light up the dark

Try as I mayI could never explain

What I hear when

You don't say a thing

[CHORUS:]

The smile on your face

Lets me know

That you need me

There's a truth

In your eyes

Saying you'll never leave me

The touch of your hand says

You'll catch me

Whenever I fall

You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all

All day long

I can hear people

Talking out loud

But when you hold me near

You drown out the crowd(The crowd)

Try as they may

They could never define

What's been said

Between your

Heart and mine

[Repeat chorus twice]

(You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all

You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all)

The smile on your face

The truth in your eyes

The touch of your hand

Let's me know

That you need me

[Repeat chorus]

(You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all

You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all)

The smile on your face

The truth in your eyes

The touch of your hand

Let's me know

That you need me

(You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all

You say it best

When you say

Nothing at all)

Day 2 of Self Confinement.

I miss home.

I kind of know how foreigners in school feel now. I so wanna go home. I know I can. But I can't. Gotta hit the books.

And so day 2 pass so quickly. I studied CBC 111 and 113. Gotta just revise revise and revise more. I can't wait for recess week to come. No school plus more free time. Just what I need to catch up on sleep and work I guess..

Yes yes I am a boring person. No life. Saturdays and Sundays are spent either sleeping or studying. Life's like that when almost all your friends are doing about the same thing as you are.

Oh and my dad has 2 free buffet vouchers at some posh hotel. He told me to go have it with my friend. Then gave me that look... I think he thinks I have a gf in school. I wonder why? hahhaha

Reason 1 - I lock myself in my room everytime I go home
- HE thinks I'm talking to a girl online or on the phone.
-The truth: I'm mugging and want no disturbance from them (how sad)

Reason 2 - I go out on weekends like once every god knows how long
- HE thinks I'm out on a date with my "girlfriend"
- The truth: I'm out with my OG or with my army friends OR I'm out running.

Reason 3 - He thinks that when I'm in a co-ed environment, I'll have a gf (stardard thinking)
- The truth: Siao ah! Since when is getting a gf so easy!

So who wants a free treat to buffet?

Another Week of Self Confinement

Yes another week of self confinement.

As if I'm not over with my NS days hur. 7days duty week was as good as it gets. But back then life wasn't that bad. Back then it was the no brainer days. Ur brain cells were meant to rot in camp. Stress free, with the company of ur platoon mates, air con bunks, tv, PS2, nite snacks and best of all the good view of the sea. If you ever were stress den, just vent it all out on the mean speed machine at nite on the vast ocean with the countless stars to accompany you. Life's good.

Now? Confined in this small little room. With books books and more books. Worse of all PHYSICS books. Stress is you next best companion instead of your friends. The only way to destress is probably a 5km run round the perimeter of the school. Boring. Whats the ultimatum of confinement? Confinement ALONE. Yes me me and more of me ALONE. Imagine not talking to anyone for like close to 9hours a day. Gosh!

And so CBC121 midterm is over. Hopefully I did well. I need to do well. And so I'm praying real hard. Next week, CBC811 CBC111 and CBC 113. All MCQs. Which only mean one thing. Tougher questions (keeping my fingers crossed) Hopefully the setter show some compassion to us year ones. HOPEFULLY. And so its back to me, my books and my best friend -STRESS.

On a lighter note, found my pic on http://www.sportsphotox.com/ for my Nike Human Race

Yes finally, a pic which has me smiling to the camera. All my other race pictures were taken with me showing my shagged out look. So unsightly. This one is nice. Just a little too small I guess...

Oh wells, its back to me and my best friend.

Another Day,,,

Another day in school.

Had maths quiz today. Quite ok. Managed to do the sums and got the right answers. Hopefully they do not minus marks for sloppy workings.

Quite busy this week and probably the next too. Mid terms are up next. Lots of revision to do. Gotta ace em' if I really wanna do well.

CBC 111 is rather tricky, cos you really dun know what sort of questions to expect.

CBC 113 hopefully application questions and not those content based.

CBC 121 content plus application, DARN!

MAS 181, Maths what more can I say. Practice and more practice. Gotta ace this one.

PAP 181. Haiz... Physics. Haizzzzz...

Didnt make the cut as CGL for CAC FOC. I probably guessed it. Why would they let a year 1 get that post? Even if they do, they probably let the best freshie get it. Oh wells, I just try my luck for GL tomorrow.

How I wish one day had 48 hours...

Mugging continues...

The Human Race 10K

Nike Human Race 10km

Headed down to The Padang on Sunday afternoon to meet Lee and his friends for the Nike Human Race 10km. It was probably my first official race after injuring my ankle tendon. Not that it had recovered though. Was feeling rather excited for the run yet worried hoping that the run will not aggreveate the injury much worse.

And so I rushed down to City Hall hoping to be the first 5000 to be able to put my bag at teh baggage claim. Yes limited to 5000 runners only on the first come first serve basis. So being a typically Kiasu Singaporean, I headed down at 220pm hoping to beat the crowd. Everywhere you went from City Hall MRT to the Padang, everyone was wearing red as though it was some auspicious day of the year! But it was kind of cool to see so many people up for the 10km challenge for charity.

And so the race was split into 3 categories. The red section for runners running below 50mins, blue section for those under 60mins (which was my section) and the green for leisure runners. This was to ensure that most runners do not block the way of the faster runners. But once the race started all hell broke lose! All those school kids with their friends were like chionging for the first part to act "seh" and probably show of to the girls around there and by 4oom or even 800m, they started walking and blocking the way of the faster runners who were caught at the back. Worse still they didn't even have the simple courtesy of walking to the side of the running lane. They had to walk side by side blocking up the whole traffic behind them. How inconsiderate. I had to push one guy to the side and shout "if you wanna walk walk to the side larhh and not hog up the traffic!" It was so getting on my nerve already. Coupled the fact that I wasn't able to run at my normal speed at the start due to the traffic made me exploded. Yes I have a bad temper.

So the race route was ok. Just a little crammed up at the start. But it was an eye opening route running through the city into Clarke Quay. The little bout of rain at the mid point of the race made the run ever so refreshing for me. Oh and I smiled for every single camera I saw on the way hahah hoping to get a nice pic of me while I was running. As you know, I never had a good pic for any of my races. They were always pictures of me and my shagged look. Hahaha.. Yeah and so the race ended quite quickly for me. Yeah being a season runner, the 10km was considered a short run for me. Moreover I did 2 marathons already! I was quite satisfied as I sprinted pass the finishing line and seeing the clock at 1hr 3o plus seconds. At least I know I still got what it takes to run a 10km with an ankle injuring and without proper training for like 3 months. It probably would also be faster if I wasn't held up at the start of the race. So hey it wasn't that bad.

Now I'm just hoping that my official time hits below an hour =)
