Att.C Day 2

Its been a pretty boring day. Nothing much really happened. Stayed home the whole morning flippin' through the past papers which I haven't really gotten the time to read. It sucks when you're feelin sick.

Well was flippin through the papers and surprise surprise, my Bmt mate, Weiliang was on the newspaper. He was awarded the local merit scholarship to study Medicine at NUS. Congrats buddy! Next up, I saw Jishan on the front page of the newspaper. She earned herself the most prestigious scholarship in S'pore. Yeapz the President Scholarship. Congrats to U girl! Still remember the times when me, Kenny, Jishan and Samantha would gather at Cafe 245 at Tanglin CC wreking our brains at the permutations of some games for SJI-RGS Convention. Those were good memories. Seems like my friends are pretty lucky these days. Jish and Weiliang got scholarship. Heng(my bmt section mate) got Police Scholarship to study Physics at NTU. ZhengJie (my BMT section mate) managed to sign on as a Pilot.

Come to think of it,why ain't I that lucky? I've been really down on luck these few years. Screwed up O'levels. Bad A levels results. Twisted ankle before nationals. Selected for RHIBS course den deselected cos laojiao go first. Life saving course last minute put me on reserve list cos only one person can go. SSCC also dunno whether can get selected to go. Oh wells. I guess thats heaven's will.

A New Beginning...

Ahhhhh, my very first post. Deleted the previous 2 blogs. They've gotten stagnant anyway. Or rather I've gotten stagnant. I've became pretty lazy for the past few months, thus the procrastination on blogging. Well decided to start anew. So here it is, my new blog. I try to keep it simple. Not too complicated like the previous 2.

I guess many would be wondering what I'm up to these days. Yes, I'm still serving the nation. Got posted to Changi Naval Base, the Navy. Well my vocation states that I'm a SeaSoldier. I'm just a normal Regimental Police (RP) stuck in the Navy. My main job scope is to protect the base. I can't really blabber much bout my army life cos what I go through is pretty much classified. I could get charged if any restricted stuff leaks out through the blog. So yeahhh. Well all I can say is Navy life is gonna be pretty boring for the next 1yr and 2months. Hopefully I can make the best out of it.

You know when there is a time where you say to yourself its impossible to accomplish something just because YOU believe that it isnt up to your capability. Well I got proved wrong. I've never believed I could run 2.4 in less than 9.43mins. NEVER. I've never ran a 2.4km in less than 9.43mins in my life. The best timing I've ever clocked was 11.08mins. After enduring through the tough running regime that Senior Warrant Officer Balvinnder (SWO) put us SeaSoldiers through, I've managed to run a 9.40mins for my 2.4km. And finally after so many years of waiting, I've clinched my first IPPT Gold award. Which also happens to make me 200bucks richer than usual. Here's my results-
1) Sit ups (54)
2) Standing Broad Jump (234cm)
3) Pull Ups (12)
4) Shuttle Run ( 9.80s)
5) 2.4km run (9.40mins)
Because of this, I've became even more motivated in whatever things I do. Because I know I can succeed and I will succeed. I MUST succeed.

Yvonne left for the US to study on the 10th Auguest. One day after national day. She celebrated her last national day here in Singapore befor her depature to the US. She's studying in Indiana University (Bloomington). I guess I'm gonna miss her alot. No more phone calls to her at night to bug her. No more outings with her. Haizz. I guess I would just have to wait. Almost cried when I bid her farewell at the airport. Almost. But I didnt. Maybe its a male thing I reckon.

On the 11th August, It was Zhi Hui's turn to leave for the US. She too was furthering her tertiary education there in the states. Me, Johnny, Daniel, JZ, Yvonne (my classmate) and Peiwen went to bid her goodbye. The feeling wasn't as bad as the day before when i bid Yvonne goodbye. Gonna miss bullying Zhi HUUEK!

Oh did i mention, Yvonne replied my email! That made my day. it really did. Been in a super duper good mood today despite having a fever. Oh wells I guess thats about it for today. Will update soon. Till then...
