Singapore Association of Social Work celebrates Social Worker's Day on 15th April 2008.

Had a wonderful evening of dinner with my colleagues at Social Workers' Day Dinner at Meritus Mandrain Hotel . Men in dark coat, ladies in dresses shimmering with glitters. You could say it was rather a star studded event. No famous actors or actresses but rather well known social workers. A night where everyone recognises and show their appreciation to the silent workers of the community whom most would label them as "volunteers with no pay".

The dinner was actually a last minute thing. I was actually on my way home when Boss called asking if I would mind filling up the empty table slot at the dinner because Amelia's on leave. Thus I headed down to the hotel and met up with Eileen, Jo, Jeanette and Anna. And as usual, ladies love to cam whore. Pictures, pictures and more pictures to begin the night with.

Dinner was served simultaneously with the award presentation. Our dearest Mr President was awarded Fellow to the Association of Social Workers. Yes for those who didn't actually know, our president is a social worker by profession. He started out as a medical social worker at TTSH and worked his way up to what he is today.

5 star hotel, 5 star food quality =) Had a great dinner with my colleagues. Kept teasing and irritating one another. Such a supposedly grand and solemn dinner could actually turn out quite fun if you have the right company.
