Platoon Sergeant's Job Scope...

A Platoon Sergeant, judging by the name itself is fully in charge of a platoon. He handles administrative work such as sending parade states, settling leave applications and deployment, replying to important mails sent out by the upper management and maintaining a certain level of discipline in the platoon. His work also involves being the link between the man and the officers. Last but not least, he works together with his men be it duties or fatigue work.

Please do take note. PS doesnt stand for Platoon Servant. I am F****** not ur servant. Never freaking throw me your outside life stuff which happens to interfere with ur training or duty and expect me to settle all these nonsense for you. If you want to find a freaking replacement for duty, do it yourself. And if you can't find one, then suck it up cancel your freaking arrangement out in that bloody civilian world of yours if not I will use my POWER and make you do so. Bloody hell, I'm flooded with a shitload of work from all sorts of people. Before I blow my top, you guys better know your limit. If not when all hell breaks lose, you all will just die. And I mean every single word I say.

Water Spouts...

Caught a glimpse of 4 water spouts this morning. Was out at sea when i noticed 3 water spouts heading towards my craft. Quite facinating though. We wanted to drive nearer to them and see how it was like to be in the midst of all 3 but it was relatively too far. So we proceeded back to pontoon. Along the way, as our eyes were hooked onto the 3 waterspouts that were in the distance, i felt a sudden cold wind. I looked up, and hey! Another one was about to form directly above us. How cool! But due to safety issues we proceed back quickly to alongside. There on the pontoon everyone was glued to the magnificent view of the formation of a water sprout just outside the mouth of basin. The clouds started to form a tunnel like shape that of a tornado due to the wind and water started rising from the sea surface. Only one word to describe this AWESOME! I would have captured a footage of it if I had brought the camera along. But hey! When people say "i caught a glimpse of a water spout", I could boast "Hey i was in one!"

Double D-ing AGAIN...

Updates...

Its been a while since I've updated. Lots of stuff happened.

1) Passed my Advance Theory
2) Passed my Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence Theory

Yet another inch forward to getting my driving and boating licence. And in no time, I will secure my first 2 new year resolutions. Well done =)

Camp life sucks. 7-day duty in camp is gonna be pure mental torture despite those additional welfare cum entertainment items. But looking on the bright side, all those uncertainty during standby week will be all gone. BUT, lesser bookouts. Within 2 weeks in camp, my unit will only get to book out 2.5 days. Thats like 1.25 lesser than normal infantry unit. Too bad, in the army context "lan lan suck thumb", command descision is final.

Now its 5more months till 04/11/07 when the light will beam straight at my face from the sky above with voices echoing from the far horizon saying "its time, its time for you to go." And with that I will follow the voice where it leads me to, to retrieve what I've given up 1year and 10mths ago. And there will be people all aroung me in envy. This is how the counter lady will address me,"Good morning MR Lin, its ready." As I take what I've yearned for a long time into my palms, I will echoe these words like as though they will last through eternity.

Till then, those bothersome dark clouds still hinder the beam of light into its path onto my face. But its okay, soon it will be bright and sunny. Soon...
