Life after CDC...
A Bummer.
Yes thats what I am right now. Right this instance. From the very day I stopped work at Communicable Disease Center (CDC).
My daily routine is almost quite predictable.
7am - Rise and Shine
730am - Run/Swim
830am - Breakfast
930 am - Online
1000am - Study
200pm - Lunch
300pm - Study
600pm - Slack
1000pm - Sleep
I guess I'm too used to working life, waking up early and having something to keep me occupied till 530pm everyday.
I'm starting to miss CDC. All the crazy MSWs, the work and of course funny patients that you just can't help laughing at. I wouldn't mind temping back there again during the school hols. Just gotta make sure they pay me way higher than what they did.
So yes here I am. Blogging after quite a while. Finally found some time to do so. Nothing much really happened after I stopped work. Just catching up on some Chemistry, refreshing my mind of the concepts and definitions of organic chemistry! Its amazing what 2 years of NS actually does to one's mind.
A few months after ORDed, I actually attempted to try to recall something about organic chemistry. I couldn't. Was quite shocked though. And so I asked myself what exactly is in that brain of mine. The first thing that came out "Vulgarities", next "keblakan pusing"! What nonsense! Besides malay marching commands and vulgarities, there was literally nothing in my brain. Quite worrying though. Got quite freaked out. But then looking at it, an empty brain is a brain full of space =) You just got to fill it up with the right content. So in goes the A Level Chemistry for starters and by the time uni starts, main course and deserts would be served.
Training quite hard right now. Mondays Wednesdays Fridays for fast runs, Saturdays for long runs, Tuesdays and Thursdays for 20 laps of the pool. Partly to keep fit and mainly to lose some of those stomach flabs. Hopefully these training would be a built up for me to sign up for my very first biathlon. And hopefully after biathlon, triathlon would come in and finally Ironman =) The only thing I lack now is a bicycle. A racer to be exact. But first up, Nike Human Race 10km run.
I signed up for not 1 but 2 orientation camps under the influence of Daniel the Beeeetch. Was actually quite reluctant to go for orientation. Phobia actually. I've planned and attended countless orientation camps since my secondary school days in Peer Support. Many more camps in Junior College due to my obligations as a Student Councillor. Seriously, I'm sick and tired of organizing and attending and staying in for camps. I can actually predict the games they will be having and even answer correctly the "what have you learn session" after every game. Plus the 2 camps I've signed up for cost a total of $95 bucks!!! Thats freaking expensive lah. Haiz thank God I've got a sponsor for that. And so Cutural Arts Camp and Faculty Orientation Camp it is. Hopefully the Cultural Arts Camp would be fun. I know arty farty people are rather creative with their camps, and so we shall see, oh did I mention their gooddy bag is real cool. Faculty Orientation Camp, I predict would be another JC1 Orientation Camp. But hey I can't possibly enter sch without knowing anyone other that my army mates can I?
And I end this entry with my current favourite picture and the 5 Commandmants it sends out
1) No Sex Before Marriage
2) No Borrowing $ from Loan Sharks
3) No Gambling
4) No Drinking
5) No Brothel Visits
Top (from left) : Kitty, Boss, Hoho, JoJo
Bottom (from left) : Anna, Amelia, Me, Gett Lim
And so the bumming continues...
